- Cement filling will stop further spread of cavity in that tooth but if you do not clean your teeth and gums properly, cavity can spread again under the filling also.
- Cement can dislodge sometimes while chewing sticky foods like chocolate, fig etc… If cement comes out, get it filled again which costs separately for new filling.
- If the cement is filled in the centre part of the tooth, there is a negligible chance of removal of cement but if the cement is filled in the side wall of the tooth or on the grooves which are made by faulty brushing technique, there is a possibility of cement comes out sometimes so use soft brush and round motion technique for brushing.
- Just as natural teeth, cement also wears off by the time so don’t expect that cement will stay a lifelong.
- One should complete remaining dental treatment advised by your dentist without failure to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
