- Effect of local anesthesia will remain for 2-3 hours till that do not chew from that site and avoid speaking to prevent cheek/lip/tongue bite.
- It is normal to have pain after the effect of anesthesia wears off. So take medicines prescribed by the doctor immediately.
- It is necessary to complete the course of medicines prescribed by the doctor.
- If cement filled in the tooth is temporary then there are chances that it may come out. In that case do not worry, it is normal.
- Do not eat hard food from the tooth which is undergoing the root canal treatment untill the treatment is completed with crown otherwise tooth can break so it is necessary to put crown on the root canal treated tooth.
- It is normal if you have pain till 1-2 weeks after completion of RCT.
- The RCT should be completed according to the appointments given by the doctor & if the time span between 2 appointments increases the success rate of your RCT may reduced.
- After first sitting of root canal treatment, pain almost stops so do not think that treatment has been completed because if you do not get the rest of the treatment than after few days there would be recurrence of pain and the treatment has to be started again from beginning and you have to pay additional charges for that.
- One should complete remaining dental treatment advised by your dentist without failure to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
- Annual dental check-up is must and if treatment is needed, it should be completed as per the doctor’s advice because prevention is better than cure.
